Dear Local Authorities,

                                   I'm Agustina Maqueda, from Adrogue, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm 14 years old and for school, I've read an article about Calcutta.

                                   Calcutta's population has a very low water supply, electricity, hospitals and schools, because of the low amount of money that this city counts with.

                                    I've tried to make a worldwide organization by creating a web page in many languages that only 50 peolple around the world visited it, so it didin't function. That page consisted of writtings about their problems and on collecting money, but not many were interested.

                                    It's my understanding that if there were an organized way of living, many problems wouldn't happen. But in this case, there are many and some help is required.

                                     I ask you to create a plan to help the city because the situation is not good.

Definition essay: friendship

According to the dictionary,"friendship"is the feeling and behaviour thatexist between friends.I have to say that I disagree with this meaning because it is so cold and tactless.
 Friendship is not just a feeling or a behaviour, it's much more than that. I know that is simply a word but it simbolizes the union of people who share everything: moments -good or bad ones-, secrets, jokes, advices, etc. that despite problems, fights or misunderstandings, stay together sharing every detail of their lives.
 I usually listen to people saying: "I have many friends", but... do they really have them? I think not. A friend is somebody who knows you better than yourself; Somebody that knows you a lot, as to know what you are thinking.
 In friendship there are no exceptions: you have real friends or not. As simply as that. How to recognise them?
If they are happy when good things happen to you, whe they listen not only what you say but what you don't, they are your real friends. That is a real friend, and with him/her, you have a real friendship, as long as you respect the deals I've mentioned before.
 In conclusion, friendship is not only the condition of sharing a friendly relationship, it is impossible to explain in less than ten words this feeling.

Taller de concientacion de los derechos del niño

El día 19 de septiembre del año 2011 visitamos la escuela numero 53 de Burzaco con el propósito de enseñar a los alumnos de 4º los derechos del niño.

 Cuando llegamos a la escuela, lo primero que les pedimos fue que dibujaran dos recuerdos: uno bueno y uno malo; los cuales organizamos teniendo en cuenta los derechos. Una ves divididos los dibujos, fueron leídos los derechos a los cuales se asociaban. Así los chicos pudieron darse cuenta de lo que estaba bien o mal.

 Después de realizar esta actividad, algunas alumnas del colegio Newlands explicaron el contenido de algunos afiches realizados previamente a la visita para profundizar el tema discutido durante la visita.

 Cuando los chicos ya habían entendido de que se trataban sus derechos, realizamos una encuesta sobre temas que tenían que ver con la vida cotidiana para descubrir cuantos de ellos no sabían de la existencia de sus derechos. Algunas de las preguntas realizadas se relacionaban con la discriminación o con la violencia.

 Para darle un final a nuestra visita decidimos hacer una obra, en la cual se mostraban un hecho de violencia de padre a hijo y luego de representar una rebobinación, mostramos lo que debería haber pasado en realidad, es decir, lo correcto.

 En conclusión, creo que esta visita nos sirvió para concientizar a los chicos sobre los derechos que todos ellos tienen que y merecen ser respetados, pero también nos sirvió para aprender de los errores que cometimos y la próxima vez que vayamos a otra escuela poder mejorar.

Ussualy the concept of friendship in the majority of dictiorarys is expressing with poor literature and human meanings.
they dont get to comunicate how this feeling really is for people. For the example the "longman" dictionary the definition says: that is the condition of sharing a friendly relationship.
I n my opinion this isn`t epressing in a minimun way what FRIENDSHIP really is; beacause is not about just sharing a relationship, respection one another having a real conection, beyond just loving eachother. A A friend is someone who you always can count on, who always willing to help you, he/se isn`t just a friend, it is a part of you.
As a conclusion friendship doesn`t have a correct or incorrect meaning, because its about how a person feels.

Derechos Tonucci

Miedo.

El miedo para mi es al futuro desconocido. No sabes lo que puede pasar, todos en realidad dicen que en el 2012 va a ocurrir el apocalipsis, pero yo nose en que creer. Me doy cuenta que viví una vida excelente, excepcional para mi edad y disfruto un montón estando con mi familia amigos y la verdad lo que mas agradezco es estar sana. Mucha gente empieza a vivir una buena vida cuando esta enferma, o le queda poco tiempo. Me da mucha curiosidad los misterios no revelados, lo desconocido para ser mas exacta, pero la verdad mayores miedos, no tengo. Nose tampoco que va a pasar por el agua, por que no es infinita, ni reciclable, y si lo pensas, algun dia nuestros hijos, o las generaciones futuras no la podran disfrutar como nosotros, pero todavia podemos ahorrar agua, aunque los hilos continentales empezaron a derretirse.

 In Kolkata there are some problems but there are two that are the most important: many families have no home than the paverment and the constant threat of flooding.
To help to solve the problem you can give them money, so that they can live like normal people.
